Call for Contributions

Interactive Events Track

Objectives

The Interactive Events (IE) Track aims to provide a dynamic platform during the AIED 2026 conference in Seoul for showcasing innovations at the crossroads of education, interactive systems, and AI. While we strongly encourage contributions that align with this year's theme, "From Tools to Teammates: Human-AI Synergy for Augmented Learning", we warmly welcome high-quality interactive systems and demos across all areas of AI in education.

Authors with accepted papers or posters to the main conference or other AIED 2026 tracks are especially encouraged to contribute, as this track offers an additional platform to showcase their systems. Note that an accepted contribution in the IE Track does not count towards the one-author-registration-per-paper requirement for the main conference proceedings.

Types of Contributions

Proposed contributions may include interactive systems across various platforms (standalone, web-based, mobile, VR/AR, etc.). Relevant areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Human-AI collaborative learning environments
  • LLM-based and Generative AI educational technologies
  • Adaptive educational systems and Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS)
  • Serious games and virtual/augmented reality for learning
  • Agentic AI and (multi)agent systems for education
  • Data-driven and analytics-based educational dashboards
  • Authoring tools for AIED systems

Submitted systems must have implemented the functional features necessary to demonstrate the primary educational benefits outlined in the submission.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions can be made through the AIED 2026 EasyChair link. Authors must provide a single document (max 3 pages) following the Springer LNAI templates. The document must include:

Evaluation Process and Eligibility

Proposals will be evaluated by the IE committee based on:

  • Quality of description paper and demo video.
  • Originality and relevance to the broader AIED field (alignment with the conference theme is a plus, but not strictly required).
  • Maturity and demonstrated functionality of the system.
  • Logistical considerations for on-site presentation.

Commercial products are eligible, but proposals focused purely on sales/marketing are not appropriate. Demonstrations of previously published systems are welcome if they offer a new perspective or focus relevant to AIED 2026.

Publication Note

Accepted contributions to the IE Track:

  • Will not be included in the Springer LNAI conference proceedings.
  • Will have the opportunity to be featured in the IAIED Website Showcase.

Registration Information

Each accepted IE contribution must have at least one registered author by the early registration deadline. A maximum of two demos per registered author is allowed. Authors are expected to be present on-site in Seoul to interact with the audience during the IE Track sessions.
